Welcome to Tampa Kobudo-Kai

We are a martial arts club in Tampa that studies Kobudo – a weapon-based art with origins in feudal Japan and Okinawa. We meet for classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Florida Aikido Center, located just north of the HCC Dale Mabry Campus. Sensei Gina, Sensei Bryce and Sensei Mark invite anybody interested in learning the traditional martial arts weapons to visit the dojo and either watch or try out a class or two. But, be warned: what starts as simple curiosity can easily turn into a way of life.

In addition to our regular Tuesday and Thursday evening Kobudo classes, we also offer classes in:
  • Iaido (Japanese sword art)
  • Archery
  • Cosplay combat (stage combat) classes
  • Self-defense seminars

Kobudo
  Tuesday:  8:00 to 9:15pm
  Thursday: 8:00 to 9:15pm
  Saturday:  10:00 to 11:00am (Kids class)
  Sunday:    by appointment or special event

Archery
   Friday:   open range from7:00 to 8:00pm
   Saturday:  12:00 - 1:00pm
